At the time of a cancer diagnosis, one-fourth of patients are using tobacco products. Even after a cancer diagnosis, when patients report high motivation to quit using tobacco, less than half are successful at tobacco cessation. This webinar will address the benefits and challenges of providing tobacco cessation treatment to oncology patients. Despite the challenges, it is important to address tobacco cessation given the impact on survival and quality of life.

Goals and Objectives:

  • Describe the benefits of offering tobacco cessation treatment interventions and how it may improve oncological and overall health outcomes
